Chimera has worked its way to being my main web browser. The latest builds have a history menu which was one of the last requirements a browser needs to satisfy my needs. The Pop-up killer doesn’t hurt either.
The Chimera application provides a Cocoa front end to the Mozilla/Gecko web page rendering engine. It’s fast and standards compliant.
Roxio to acquire Napster assests [via MacMinute.com: ]
Wow, somehow I missed this one yesterday. 5.3 mil, I don’t get it, what is Roxio (the makers of the fabulous Toast along with many other things) going to do with the assets?. Is the name worth that much, is the software still vaiable, would you wan’t to own a cyber-ghosttown?
Looks like Apple decided to quitely release a 10.2.2 update last night. The download weighs in at around 28MB. Enjoy.
Ron and Fez fans have started a letter writing campaign to help keep the buddies of NY Radio in New York. R&F have survived no less than seven shift changes while at WNEW picking up more listeners with each change. WNEW/Infinity however, aparently has plans other than a shift change in mind, with a supposedly drastic format change to "Lite Music" sending the buddies to WJFK in DC. Letter senders please be aware, the John Sykes that the letters are addressed to is in fact the CEO of Infinity Broadcasting and should not be confused with the Les Paul slinging guitar player of Thin Lizzy/Whitesnake/Blue Murder Fame. See Ya.

Macromedia introduced Contribute today. I saw a demo of Contribute at Meet The makers last week and thought it was worth a closer look, especially if your web development involves samaritan sites. So I dowloaded the technology preview and gave it a whirl — in Virtual PC. That’s right, it’s a Windows only app right now, according to the Contribute FAQ Mac OS X users can expect a version sometime in 2003.
What did I think of the Tech Preview? I thought it played rather nice (especially for a Windows app). I’ve set up a client to edit parts of their own site and they’re ready to drop the C-Note when it’s actually released in December. For a preview of version one software, I’ll give it a strong thumbs up.

Yeah, but for $399 you could opt to get a 10GB iPod from the Apple Store
