Radio Problem - solved?

I’ve got a fix for when “Radio” spits out the following error:

[Macro error: Can't evaluate the expression because
the name "idThread" hasn't been defined.]

Just switch to the Radio Application, go to the Radio Menu, sub-menu-utilities and select "Compact Data Files…" (You might want to back up your Data Files Folder first, just in case). I still waiting for the official “Userland” reply to the issue, but this seems to have fixed things for now.

It’s Back up

The Web sever and both DNS servers (which is why you probably want your seconday DNS on a different power grid, netowork, etc.) went down on Friday night. I wasn’t able to get them rebooted ‘till this morning. Apologies to anyone trying to visit or send email this weekend.

Minor site updates in progress.

Yes, I’m playing with the design once again. There’s only one table (for structure) besides the calendar table, and more liberal use of CSS for presentation.

Designing with Web Standards

I picked up Jeff Zeldman’s Designing With Web Standards on Friday. It’s a must read for anyone who calls themselves a web developer. While you’re at it pick up his first tome Taking Your Talent to the Web you (and your clients) will be glad you did.

Mr. (Sorta) Clean (That would be, Yours truly)

Well it looks like Grant did get my email. Now slightlytidy.com firmly holds its place in domain name of the week history.

See ya Pismo, Hey there iBook.

I’ve been down since Friday, the Pismo suffered its last crash. We held a little mock funeral at the office this morning thinking if we started talking about it in the past tense it’d be easier to get funding for a new portable mac. It worked, I’m typing this from a new 900MHz iBook. The 12" Aluminum Powerbook was tempting at the new $1599 price, but OS 9 boot-ability was a must-have at this juncture. I don’t miss the 14" screen too much and I definitely don’t miss the instablility the Pismo was showing more and more often.
