Trackback enabled

A quick note. I’ve enabled trackbacks (both incoming and outgoing) for this blog. Let’s see how long it takes before the incoming feature is used.

BBEdit Applescripts to the rescue

I’ve always wanted the ability to toggle the "soft wrap" and "show invisibles" features of BBEdit with keyboard shortcuts. I could never understand why this feature wasn’t added to the product after fourteen significant releases. BBEdit does provide the ability to ad keyboard shortcuts to any script, filter or menu item, but the things I need kb shortcuts for aren’t standard menu items, they’re editor window menu items.

Non-specific September 14th update

Well my fist post since I’ve returned from Spain. There are lots of things going on behind the scenes, both at work and at home.

Samson will soon regain the ability to control the code of its website. We’re about to begin a new design (XHTML and CSS) which will hopefully be both web standards compliant and accessible. We’ll need to put this together before the middle of December when the rush for NAMM begins.

I’m off to St. Louis on Friday for my buddy Mark’s anual party. Then Mark and I are going to Rio de Janiero for a week. I still need to pick up my Visa from the Brazilian consulate in NYC, but other than that I pretty much ready for the trip. I’ll probably take most of the same stuff that I packed for the Spain trip, so it should’t be too hard to put it all together quickly.

Meanwhile Isabel is in the middle of the Atlanitc. No one is sure where or when or if this cat 5 storm will hit the east coast. We’ve got a few nice waves on the beach, but nothing like last weekend so far. By Wednesday or Thursday it should look like Hawaii here. So I’ve got to get the house “storm ready” before I leave. I’m theoretically far enough away from the shore that surge won’t be a factor, but the 200MPH wind thing might have some kind of shall we say impact on the area.
