Well, the NAMM show is over, the Jaco tribute went great, the long hours at work are done (for now) and I’m going to enjoy a few days in Hermosa Beach.
When I get back to New York, I’ll complete the switch to movable type, post a few essays and try to get back to keeping this thing updated on a more regular basis
Ron and Fez fans have started a letter writing campaign to help keep the buddies of NY Radio in New York. R&F have survived no less than seven shift changes while at WNEW picking up more listeners with each change. WNEW/Infinity however, aparently has plans other than a shift change in mind, with a supposedly drastic format change to "Lite Music" sending the buddies to WJFK in DC. Letter senders please be aware, the John Sykes that the letters are addressed to is in fact the CEO of Infinity Broadcasting and should not be confused with the Les Paul slinging guitar player of Thin Lizzy/Whitesnake/Blue Murder Fame. I got a call from the Doctor yesterday. I tested positive for Lyme disease. Since I’m already being treated, I should have nothing to worry about.
Guess What? That’s right — another tick. I went to my doctor today. I’m gonna be on antibiotics for a few weeks. I gave a blood sample and should know the test results in a few days. I’ll be interviewing exterminators tomorrow as well.
I can’t believe it. I was about to got to bed last night when I found another tick engourged on my thigh! I haven’t been in high exosure areas, why have I had two tick bites in as many days? Long Beach Memorial hospital was (thankfully) empty at 1:00AM, but that didn’t prevent my visit from lasting almost two hours. Two Antibiotic pills and I was dismissed.

I got a tick bite yerterday, the episode kinda freaked me out. At this point I need to either wait for a rash to appear or get tested in six weeks. Not fun.
